Movements of Wild Summer Run Steelhead Tagged with Radio Transmitters in the Babine River during Fall, 1994

Radio telemetry was used for the second consecutive migration year to determine the proportion of wild, Babine River adult summer run steelhead migrating through the Department of Fisheries and Oceans' enumeration weir, near the outlet of Nilkitkwa Lake. The purpose of this investigation was to assess the feasibility of using the weir in conjunction with radio telemetry to conduct annual population estimates for the Babine stock.
