Toboggan Creek Coho Smolt Enumerations

The primary focus of the "Toboggan Creek Smolt Project" is to estimate the number of wild coho (0. kisutch) smolts leaving Toboggan Creek. Initiated in the spring of 1995, the study aimed to estimate wild coho populations of Toboggan Creek by comparison with recaptures to marked hatchery fish, attain records of age and condition of wild coho and their time of migration, and to collect information on condition, migration timing, and comparative abundance of other fish species present in Toboggan Creek. Data on discharge, water temperature, ambient temperature, precipitation, and trap performance were collected for each trap setting.
