Babine Steelhead - A Future

The project was designed to capture wild juveniles of these species during or before their seaward migration, and mark them by inserting a coded wire tag in their snout and removing the adipose fin. The marked fish would then be released. In this manner, explicit data on the route and timing of migration and the degree of exploitation of each individual river stock would be generated.
