Upper Bulkley River Steelhead Population Monitoring

The upper Bulkley River system, near Houston, was first assessed by the Fish Habitat Improvement Section in 1981. The initial assessment identified probably areas of importance for steelhead recruitment and juvenile rearing. In 1982 an index sampling program was initiated to monitor steelhead recruitment on an annual basis. The index sampling program was continued in 1983.
