Report on the Preliminary Survey of Steelhead of Skeena River Drainage Systems

This report represents an effort to compile as much information as possible on the distribution, migration, and life history of steelhead in the Skeena system. Reference was made to regional files, Department of Fisheries publications, Fisheries Research Board of Canada reports, and conversations with anglers and Conservation Officers. A fishery evaluation questionnaire was also prepared to establish some resource base lines for the Morice, Kispiox, and Copper Rivers. Both recreational and economic factors were considered.
