This environmental assessment, like the effects assessment contained in the original 2007 EAC Application, is a sustainability-based environmental assessment that considers the following five interconnected and interdependent "pillars": environment, economy, social, cultural/heritage, and health. The following sections of the Application for an EAC Amendment provide a detailed description of the requested amendments to the originally certified project. This report also includes an assessment of the effects of the requested amendments on valued ecosystem components and valued social components during the construction, operations, and decommissioning phases of the Project.
