A Survey of Morice River Steelhead Anglers in 2004

Morice River steelhead anglers were surveyed during the 2004 Classified Waters Period using a combination of interviews and aerial counts. During the early Classified Waters Period, fishing was restricted to fly fishing only above Lamprey Creek, and the river was closed to fishing between Gosnell Creek and Morice River. During the late classified water period, gear and fly rods could be used in the entire river. To conduct the study, the Morice River was divided into five sections of roughly equal length. Anglers were surveyed to provide information on angler demographics, distribution, effort and catch.
