Toboggan Creek: a Report on the Results of Field Work Undertaken by the Bulkley Valley Steelhead Club

In 1978 the Bulkley Valley Steelhead Society obtained a $1,000 grant under the Salmonid Enhancement Program to construct and operate a counting fence and fish trap on Toboggan Creek. From September 1 to October 27, a total of 164 pinks, 817 coho and 8 steelhead were counted on their spawning migration. The purpose of this report is two fold: 1. To document the results of the 1978 Toboggan Creek project; 2. To present a brief description and provide a reference of the past and present work pertinent to the watershed.
