Compilation of Stock Assessment Information for Skeena River Steelhead: Habitat-Based Escapement Estimation

Geographic information from the BC Watershed Atlas and juvenile steelhead surveys from the Sustut, Kispiox, Bulkley, and Upper Skeena rivers were used to update a model of steelhead trout carrying capacity estimation in the Skeena drainage. The existing spreadsheet model was updated with new information on the physical characteristics of stream reaches and sub-models used to estimate fry capacities were calibrated and compared to original estimates of capacities.
