Overview of the Preliminary Healthy Watersheds Assessments Project: Evaluating Relative Health and Vulnerability of Conterminous US Watersheds

This document provides an overview of the Preliminary Healthy Watersheds Assessments (PHWA) project, which was carried out during 2016-2017 to improve the availability of comprehensive, national information about watershed health and vulnerability. The goal of this project was to help our partners better target watershed protection efforts by systematically identifying where healthier and more vulnerable watersheds occur.
