Reconnaissance (1:20,000) Fish and Fish Habitat Inventory Kitnayakwa River

Triton Environmental Consultants Ltd. (Triton) was contracted by Skeena Cellulose Ltd (SCI) to conduct a fish and fish habitat inventory of the Kitnayakwa River watershed (440-314000). Funding for the project was provided by Forest Renewal BC (FRBC). The project involved Phase 4 (field data collection), Phase 5 (data analysis) and Phase 6 (mapping and reporting). The fish and fish habitat inventory program provides information regarding fish species presence, distribution and relative abundance, as well as stream reach biophysical data, for use in interpretation of habitat sensitivity and capability for fish production. Information required to plan forestry prescriptions under the Forest Practices Code can also be obtained from fish and fish habitat inventories. WSC 440-314000
