Fish-Stream Identification: Lakes Forest District Small Business Forest Enterprise Program 1996

The main objectives of this project were: to conduct a literature review of inventory activities previously conducted in the area; to conduct stream classification in accordance with guidelines in the Fish- stream Identification guidebook (FPC); to inventory reaches following Resource Inventory Committee (RIC) standards; to produce a summary report, detailing results of literature review and field sampling; to give recommendations for protection of fisheries resources identified throughout the project; to digitize 1:10,000 scale maps indicating stream classification, reach breaks, sample site location, stream identity (following MC and FPC guidelines) and fish distribution; and to give recommendations for further sampling, if required.
