This report provides a summary of the existing information up to June 2001 to provide local communities with an updated understanding of the state of coho populations in their area to help predict coho returns and restore fish habitat. Suggestions toward potential work on topics that will provide better explanations and more detailed understanding of coho production in the Bulkley River watershed are also presented. The document identifies the factors that have significant effects on coho production in the upper Bulkley Watershed, and summarizes the life history and historic trends in abundance of coho in this watershed. Furthermore, reviewed references are compiled in a literature data system.
