This record is the continuation of a pilot project undertaken in the Central Coast (Areas 6-7-8-9-10) during the 1983, 1984, and 1985 salmon seasons. It was designed as an in-season management tool and as a record of the fishery and of the management strategies. The object of the form and content of the report is to provide: 1. a written record of the fishery, the management strategies, and the reasons and considerations affecting those decisions; 2. a basis for evaluation toward improved management; 3. a mechanism for the transferability of knowledge and information for current and future staff.
