Telkwa Coal Limited (TCL) is proposing to develop the Tenas Project (the Project), a surface coal mine designed to produce approximately 15.0 million tonnes of washed metallurgical coal product at about 0.750 million saleable tonnes per year to be used in the manufacture of steel. The mine life of the Project will be around 25 years, including the construction, operation and reclamation phases. This project description was prepared in accordance with the BC Environmental Assessment Office in order to provide a project overview and list the potential effects of the development.
