The NCD Habitat Unit, along with coho biologists from the Science Branch, conducted a juvenile coho sampling program on the Upper Bulkley/Morice River systems during the month of August from 1987 to 1990. This study furthers the understanding of coho distribution and habitat utilization in this area, as well as information about possible limiting factors for freshwater coho production. This article begins by presenting some background information on which to base the discussion of enhancement of these stocks.
